Many people ask me if language will be a problem here. In my experience, it is smaller than it looks.

You do not need perfect Japanese. You do not need perfect English either.

Short words are enough.

We can point at things. We can nod.

We can use a translation app on your phone if that is easier.

If it is easier to write, you can send me a message before the day. You can tell me what you want, what you do not want, and anything you are worried about.

I will read it, and I will remember it.

During our time together, I will check things with you in simple ways. If I am not sure, I will stop and ask again, and I will wait for your answer.

I also watch your body. Breathing, shoulders, the way you settle into the room.

These tell me more than grammar does.

So please do not let language stop you. Bring the words you have, in any language, and we will build the rest between us, slowly.
